He played tunes chosen from his wide repertoire, plus a new one that we requested (I am sailing) and which he learned and played perfectly. Our guests all expressed their delight at hearing his pipes playing the Wedding March as I walked in, and other tunes after the wedding. It made the Register Office atmosphere a lot less formal. He looked and sounded fabulous and really set the scene for my dear Mum and our whole family. Even the funeral director said he'd never experienced anything quite like it, that he'd heard pipers before at funerals but when he played it sent shivers down his back as he followed him playing the bagpipes and leading my Mum to her final resting place alongside my dear Dad.
