Over 30 years experience, I am a former piper with the 1st Bn The Black Watch. I have played at many high profile events, so I am confident in delivering a professional service to any type of event.
I began piping at the age of 9. After a few years I was accepted into the pipes and drums of the world famous Black Watch. I spent 5 years with this band and this is where I learnt more about bagpipes and piping. I was lucky to be part of many high profile events such as the Edinburgh military tattoo, 2 musical stadium tours of North America visiting most of the major towns, cities and stadiums throughout the United States and Canada, such as Madison square garden and Disney world, as well as various performances for The Royal family. The most high profile event was the hand over of Hong Kong in 1997 where I was a member of the band that was engaged in multiple events surrounding the hand Over, culminating in the final hand over parade.
After leaving the army I continued piping and have been lucky to continue taking part in high profile events such as the Edinburgh military tattoo, the Basel tattoo, the Berlin Tattoo, the Moscow Tattoo, the Ringriding festival in Sonderborg, Denmark plus many other events such as weddings, birthday celebrations, funerals and numerous competitions.
I can provide full highland uniform in a number of tartan as well as less formal uniforms. I am equally comfortable performing at full military type events as well as more less formal occasions.

Absolutely outstanding. Hired him to surprise my Gran for her 80th outside her house (lockdown). He was wonderful and play the bagpipes beautifully, has everyone in tears including half of the street. Played all the songs we requested perfectly. Dressed amazingly. I can’t recommend him enough. If you are looking for a Bagpiper then please choose him, you won’t be disappointed.
We hired this piper for my mothers funeral. When we arrived at the crematorium he was front and centre waiting for us to arrive to pipe us down, as we wanted to walk my mum down to the front doors. To see him there so professional and looking so proud in his full dress really would have made my Scottish mother beam. His playing of the pipes was simply second to none and raised the occasion to unparalleled heights. He really made the day so very special and we are so very grateful to him. Cannot recommend enough!
A huge thank you to you for making a sad day in to a proud day, it made the funeral of my Mum easier to bare. The bagpipe music was incredible and I know my Mum and Dad would have been listening. Many compliments from others who were at the service. It’s the first time we’ve had a piper and would highly recommend him.
What can I say! he was absolutely amazing. I can't thank him enough for his professionalism and attention to detail at such a sad occasion as my Mums funeral. He looked and sounded fabulous and really set the scene for my dear Mum and our whole family. Even the funeral director said he'd never experienced anything quite like it, that he'd heard pipers before at funerals but when he played it sent shivers down his back as he followed him playing the bagpipes and leading my Mum to her final resting place alongside my dear Dad. Thank you so much.
On a very hot day he went above and beyond the call of duty he made our wedding a very special day and never complained when ask to stay out of sight has it was a surprise and even stayed longer to pipe us to the top table looked absolutely amazing and had more photos taken with him than the bride . Would highly recommend him he was faultless .
